A la carte pay-as-you-go services
When most small business owners think of hiring an “IT guy” to come help when they have a specific one-time problem, they think of hiring them the same way as hiring a plumber: on a per-hour basis to come fix the problem and leave. While this is sometimes the cheapest way to fix a one-time problem, there’s often no relationship formed with the IT provider. This type of service is really only appropriate when someone in the office has enough free time and expertise to fix most issues, but needs very occasional help for whatever reason. The internal resource may keep track of antivirus software, security patches, software updates, backups, and network configurations themselves. About 10% of people who contact us fall into this category.
We’re glad to help on one-time issues, because we believe first and foremost in providing exactly what our clients need – and although our business mostly comes from complete solutions for our clients, we can gladly complete those one-off projects such as office moves, server installs, or hardware replacements.
Even for those clients who only need this simple form of support, we make the effort to understand how any changes will impact your business from top to bottom. After all, you don’t want someone showing up to fix your server if they can’t tell you how the changes will affect your staff or revenues.
